How to Set Up Your First Server (Build 42)

Step-by-step guide to setting up your Project Zomboid Build 42 server

Prerequisites

  • An active Rivix server subscription with Build 42 selected
  • Access to the Rivix control panel
  • Project Zomboid installed on Steam (Build 42 beta branch)

Step 1: Access Your Control Panel

Log in to your Rivix control panel at panel.rivixservers.com. Your server details were emailed to you after purchase.

Step 2: Configure Server Settings

Navigate to the Configuration tab. Build 42 introduces new settings for crafting and animal mechanics. Set your server name, password, and max players.

Step 3: Start Your Server

Click the Start button. Build 42 servers typically take 30-60 seconds for first boot as they generate the world.
