Players Cannot Connect
Troubleshooting connection issues for VEIN servers
Common Connection Problems
Server Not Visible in Browser
Players can't find your server in the server list:
- • Server may need 2-3 minutes to appear in Steam browser
- • Query Port 27015 must be open in firewall
- • Check ServerConfig.ini for correct port settings
- • Verify Steam matchmaking service is running
- • Try direct connect with IP:PORT format
Connection Timeout Errors
Players get timeout when trying to join:
- • Server might be restarting - wait 1-2 minutes
- • Check if server is at MaxPlayers capacity
